Characteristics of Ironmaking from Ultra high purity pig iron and high purity pig iron
• High purity
Based on local abundant iron ore resources and well-selected iron ore concentrate powder, through double unique purification technology, the obtained material with very low harmful and impurity elements is used as raw materials for making high purity and ultra high purity pig iron. The world most advanced iron melt secondary treatment technology is used to guarantee the high purity of pig iron melt, therefore the produced LFS brand ultra high purity and high purity pig irons contain extreme low harmful and impurity elements. In high purity pig iron, the total content of 11 harmful elements, such as Ti, Mn, P, S and other trace elements, is below 0.057%. In ultra high purity pig iron, the content of harmful element such as Ti, Mn and P etc. is much less than that specified by the industry standard "Standard of Foundry High Purity Pig Iron", the total content of 11 trace elements, including Cr, V and Mo and other trace elements, is below 0.021%.
• High stability
From purchasing, blast furnace smelting, advanced iron melt secondary treatment to storage and transportation, the whole manufacturing processes are strigently controlled with strict standards. These quarantee not only high purity of LFS brand ultra high purity and high purity pig irons, but also the high quality stability. The variation of chemical composition is very low, thus ensure quality stability and reliability for customers.
• High consistency
With the advances of 800 m³ blast furnace, one tapping can produce more than 180 tons of liquid iron, and can satisfy the special, consistent composition demand for raw material for large castings. Strict product quality tests by using world advanced instruments, refined storage management, complete customer required information files, all ensure the composition consistency of pig irons purchased by customer.
• Wide range of application
LFS brand ultra high purity and high purity pig irons have the characteristics of high purity, high stability and high consistency, which make them suitable for wide application in high end iron castings, steel castings, steel forges and special steel making. Especially, today with increased alloyed steel scraps, LFS high purity pig irons are playing an important role in decreaseing the alloy element content and inhibiting the harmful influnces of alloy elements for casting quality.
• Compact structure and clean surface
With special process, the pig iron has compacted structure without gas hole and slag, and has clean surface; with our closed storage house, the surface corrosion is reduced; each sigle piece of pig iron weighs 6 kg and has good apperance and shape. All these can reduce melting cost, slag and dust, improve working environment for customers.
